It may seem like changing up the color in your house are like choosing names for newborn children, but it doesn’t have to be that difficult! We can help here at Design Associates! But here are some ideas to get your creative juices flowing and confidence soaring!

Naval

We love this rich jewel tone that provides a pop of color but as Better Homes & Garden’s tells us “The shade of blue instills calmness, reduces anxiety, and encourages sleep…This soothing blue imparts slowness, encouraging consumers to practice mindfulness and be more present in their lives while also offering the spirit of hopefulness.” Who couldn’t use a little of that in their lives (or in their bedrooms!).

Bombay Pink

Sherwin-Williams recently acquired Valspar and in doing so, have released 12 colors of the year for 2020. Nature is the inspiration for the dozen inviting hues. Names like Canyon Earth, Winter Calm, Secluded Garden, Mint Whisper, Pale Powder, Secret Moss and Bombay Pink seen above. Note the gold accents that truly pair well with this immersive color.

Back to Nature

We’re seeing a trend with paint suppliers leaning towards nature-inspired favorites. We agree! After all, there’s a reason Einstein said Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better. Back To Nature by Behr makes us want to sit in this room, pop open a book, and take a deep breath in. It urges your senses to relax and adding other nature tones like blues and beiges add to that effect.
